[1/29] SKB request to support USB ext device. The current capacity may be insufficient while some ext device is connected to USB port (for example. 2.5 inch HDD, wifi dongle) [1/29] It will be discussed with HW engineer seperately. But it should be update here. [2/13] Current protection limit of USB is 1A. Eagle adaptor use 2A Adaptor, but over 2A current(inrush current) is needed when Eagle boot with 2.5 inch HDD or other devices. Foxconn will test it. |

Hi Sean, please give me the USB test report |
Hi SB, Please see attached Eagle power consumption report. |
Hi Sean. I saw your report 1. USB HDD test 1) I want to see the waveform that USB 5V has a dip or not during booting period 2. Current of power rail 1) TLV62569DRLR current spec is 2A, and "VDD_EE" peak value sometimes over 2A. and VDD_EE has much noise. it should be improved. 2) all power rails are measured at 200ms~400ms period. please check the various time period. 3. Report. 1) the report format which you give us is good. and I want to add some items If the criteria and result (pass/fail) is included, ALT and SKB will know easily |

Hi SB, 1. Please see fig. 9 of attached for USB 5V during booting period. The voltage drop is within 5% 2. The current limit of TLV62569DRLR is 2.5A. So the max current we measured on VDD_EE is within spec. with no problem. Please see the details in report. 3. Please see updated report as attached. |

Hi Sean I add my comment 1. Please see fig. 9 of attached for USB 5V during booting period. The voltage drop is within 5% => [SB] OK 2. The current limit of TLV62569DRLR is 2.5A. So the max current we measured on VDD_EE is within spec. with no problem. Please see the details in report. => [SB] according to result's table in page3, TLV62569DRLR's spec is still written 2A. please change the spec. 3. Please see updated report as attached. => [SB] OK |

Hi Sean according to fig9, you add a comment "power off" and "booting" in waveform picture I have a question the voltage is not 0V but 1V at power off period. why? |
Hi SB, Thanks for your comment. We have found this symptoms in our board and we think this is an issue in HDMI port. However, we already found the root cause and it was caused by wrong connection of pull-high voltage for I2C in HDMI port. We will correct this problem and fix it in next HW build. |
Update the report page3 for power IC spec. |
Hi Sean please change the fig 9 waveform to 0v at power off period. |
Hi Fu-Chiang, Please correct the connection of pull-high voltage for I2C of HDMI port. Please re-measure again the booting time and update the report accordingly. |
Update the DC power consumption reoort for USB booting measurement that the reverse back voltage from HDMI_IIC pins to USB_5V output. Please see the attached file, T99X171T00 V005_Power consumption_20190306_V1.pdf. |
